Women's Ministry Updates! The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace. Who is an excellent wife? What is she like? Using the woman in Proverbs 31 as a model, this study will encourage you to become a Godly wife. This study, facilitated by Leslie Viles, will meet on Thursdays, beginning September 7, in the church library. Join us from 8:00—8:30 a.m. for coffee and conversation and 8:30— 9:30 a.m. for the study. A study of Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, led by Patti Ketcham, will begin on Thursday, August 24, and continue through December 14, from 9:30 a.m.— 11:00 a.m. in Room 203. It could be said that Ephesians is one of the most profound and comprehensive doctrinal summaries found in the Bible and one of the most concise portions filled with practical Christian faith lived out. Come join us as we study together how we can better know Christ and grow together, seeking to live out the spiritual blessings we have in Christ, and face the conflict we have in spiritual warfare. If you have any questions, call Patti Ketcham (205-305-9233). The Ladies’ Sunday School Class will begin a new study on Prayer, with an emphasis on learning how to pray Scripture, on August 20. Kitsy Sullivan leads this class at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays in the Church Library. Open to ladies of all ages. The Women’s Bible Study Fellowship study this year is on the truth of God’s Word as we study the book of John in preparation for the study of Revelation next year. It starts Tuesday, September 12, at 6:30 p.m. All 11th and 12th Grade Girls are invited to attend a discipleship group led by Hannah Grace Walker. It meets on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Please contact Hannah Grace (205-2599617) or Julie Sund (334-798-1302) for more information. |
