As followers of Christ, we believe that regardless of socioeconomic status, we are all valued equally in God’s eyes. Therefore, our goal is to plant hope into the hearts of people and remind them of God's love for them by growing and providing fresh, nutritious food for their tables. Who we are: Manna Farms Alabaster is a non-profit, Christ-centered, volunteer based farm that grows fresh nutritious food for those in need. 100% of the fruits and vegetables grown at Manna Farms goes to support our partner ministry, Manna Ministries, which feeds over 500 families every month. What we do: Plant Hope. Hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. (Heb 6:19, NLT). This hope comes from the love of Christ. Our goal is to share the love of Christ and plant hope into the hearts of families in need. We will accomplish this by growing and providing fresh fruits, flowers, and vegetables to remind them that they a valued and loved by God. Promote Unity. Unity has the power to change the world! In Jesus’s final prayer before He was arrested, he prayed, “ May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. (John 17:23 NLT). We have created a place for the community to join together with a unified purpose, sharing the love of Christ. Providing Education. “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. (Jeremiah 6:16 NIV) We live in a fast paced society! Our goal is to slow down and examine God’s design for the food source which sustains and fuels our bodies. We will educate ourselves and those who we serve about the foods that we eat: where it comes from, how it grows, and how it fuels our bodies. With this knowledge, we can make better choices and live healthier lives. Why do we do it? "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat...and the King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.' (Matthew 25:35-40 NIV). We do it for Jesus! |
