Evangel Youth Ministry exists to encourage and aid Junior and Senior High students in their pursuit to glorify and enjoy God. We are committed to raising up a new generation of Christian leaders who are prepared to live for the Gospel. It is our aim to encourage the application of the Gospel to all areas of students’ lives and to equip them to become disciple-makers. We use worship and Bible studies, discipleship groups, mission opportunities, and fellowship activities as we seek to accomplish those goals. All of this is done with the passionate desire to raise up teenagers who reflect the image of Christ in the world to the praise of God. At Evangel Youth Ministry, the Bible is the foundation of everything we do. Every Wednesday from 6:15-7:30 pm, Junior and Senior High students gather at the Gym for worship, Bible study, and small group discussions. On Sundays from 5:00-6:00 pm, discipleship groups meet at the Gym for deeper Bible study, with various study options available to suit everyone’s needs.
Fellowship Activities
In Acts we read that the early church continued steadfastly not only in the apostle’s doctrine, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers, but in fellowship as well. Therefore, we see that fellowship and a sense of community was an essential ingredient to the vitality and growth of the early church.
Although Evangel Youth Ministry is not an “activity driven” youth group, we do believe that it is crucial to provide regular opportunities for students to interact with each other and with their church family. Each month we offer fun activities for youth to participate in such as Christian concerts, scavenger hunts, Six Flags, and other fun trips. Parents are always encourages to come along with their youth whenever possible. These outings offer parents quality time not only with their own children, but also with other children in the church.
Youth Praise & Worship
The Evangel Youth Praise Team is a dynamic, youth-led worship group that plays a pivotal role in leading the Evangel Youth Group every Wednesday night. Before diving into a time of prayer, teaching, and fellowship, the team leads their peers in heartfelt praise and worship. This team provides an opportunity for young people to use their musical talents to glorify God while fostering a spirit of worship within the youth community. Their leadership sets a powerful tone for the evening, encouraging everyone to connect deeply with God through music and song.
