​Rev. Maginnis faithfully served Evangel as Associate Pastor since 2007, and was previously Evangel's Youth Director for eight years. He was born and raised in Winder, Georgia and received his undergraduate degree (B.A. Psychology) from the University of Georgia in 1995. David served as the Student Minister at Calvary Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia from 1996-1999 where he met his wife, Hester. After leaving Savannah, David attended Beeson Divinity School where he received his MDIV degree in 2003. David was ordained in the PCA in January of 2007. For the past four years, David served as the Interim Head of School at Evangel Classical Christian School. David and Hester have 3 daughters, Lavens, Miles, and Anne Coulter and one dog named Buddy.

Alex Goodsell has served as Assistant and Associate Pastor at Evangel since August 2005. He is originally from Atlanta, Ga., but moved to Alabama to attend the University of Alabama, receiving his degree in Business Management. After becoming a Christian out of college in 1992, he worked in sales for six years, but was called into the ministry in 1998, and attended Beeson Divinity School, graduating in 2001 with an MDIV. Previously, he was the Singles Pastor at Briarwood PCA. He was ordained in the PCA in 2003. Alex is married to Amy and they have three daughters. He is the Associate Pastor over Assimilation, Christian Education, and Pastoral Care at Evangel.
