The women of Evangel maintain an active prayer chain and offer prayer groups because we believe that prayer is the foundation for all we do.

Psalm 88: 1, 2   “O Lord, the God of my salvation, I have cried out by day and in the night before You.  Let my prayer come before You; incline your ear to my cry!”

PRAYER GROUPS:

Believing prayer to be the foundation for everything we do, the women of Evangel place a high priority on individual and corporate prayer.  We have a Senior Ladies’ Prayer group which meets weekly to pray for the church and its members.  The wives of elders and deacons meet monthly to pray for the leadership of the church as well as known needs in the congregation.  Before the ladies’ retreat every year, a small group of ladies comes together to pray that it will be a time of refreshment and growth.  If you are interested in joining an existing group or beginning a new group, please call Ginger Oldfield.    PRAYER CHAINS: We maintain two very active prayer chains at Evangel.  One uses telephones, as requests are called to members whenever they come to our attention.  The other chain uses e-mails to relay the prayer requests to those on computers.  The same requests “travel” down each chain, ensuring that all members have the opportunity to pray for each request.  If you desire to be on either prayer chain, please call Caroline Daniels, Kim Marvin, or Penny Lowden. PRAYER PARTNERS: Once a year, the ladies of Evangel have a time to sign up for a Prayer Partner.  These women partner to pray daily or weekly together, both for each other, and for others at Evangel and in their lives.  If you attend Evangel and are interested in obtaining a prayer partner, please call 664-0889 for more information.
