Our Lord Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of One who cared for others. We, becoming more like Him, are to serve others as He did. We strive to do just that in Women’s Ministries through three different avenues:

"FEED OUR FLOCK" MEAL MINISTRY: Knowing how difficult it is to function either when sick or when taking care of others who are sick, the women of Evangel excel in taking care of families by providing meals. Each woman who attends Evangel regularly is placed on a list. If she has a need, other members are sent to her with meals. If those around her have a need, she is called on to help take food. Women are asked to either make a meal or pick one up from a restaurant.
"FROZEN CHOSEN" MEALS: Women with busy schedules or who live far away may make a freezer meal once a month and bring it to the church. The meals will be delivered to members and friends as needed!
This ministry is one which also reaches into the community when we take food to those in surrounding neighborhoods. Those interested in the meal ministry should contact Meredith Harris or Amy Windsor. The women of Evangel provide over 300 meals each year to those in need!

NOTE CARD MINISTRY: Likewise, the gift of encouragement is crucial when women are feeling low. Women members of Evangel write notes to ladies within the church who may be facing difficult circumstances such as illness, the death of a family member, or the loss of a job. Notes don’t have to be poetic or even beautifully scripted to be “lights in the darkness” to someone who feels abandoned or distressed. HOSPITAL BASKET MINISTRY: The third way women minister to those in need is through Hospital Baskets. This new ministry is one which touches those in the hospital bed as well as those who care for them. The baskets are made and kept at Evangel, and any member can take one to another member who is in the hospital.
